The Cut were a Norwegian new wave band who recorded a couple of albums and a handful of singles. Shadow Talks was their debut album. Their second and final album was titled Silent Movies and is a more electronic sounding and included the classic single Dance On Glass– if anyone has this album to share I would love a copy-

Shadow Talks included the singleĀ  I Wish It Was Simple, and is a solid new wave album with many great tracks, among my favourites are, Atmospheres, (All I Need Is) Television, This Time and The Crowd, actually the whole album is pretty fab, download and let me know what you think.

great lp of the band the cut,
    sounding electronic pop
    very new wave,with
    experimental touches.
    I remember enough to japan,
    good taste, elegance
    and sophistication,in short
    new sounds and punk away.
    great band of the eighties.
    thank you very much
    best regards

This was a fantastic band. I have two EP’s (“Four Cuts Fresh and Bleeding” (1980) and “Business Class Dance” (1984)) that I will upload – once I get a new turntable…
