Bloomsday were a band formed by Chris Thompson of Friends Again and The Bathers along with Nick Clark and Stephen Irvine from Lloyd Cole and the Commotions.
Fortuny was their only release and reeks of quality songwriting and production.A great album which deserves to be listened to again and again.
It opens with the excellent single Strange Honey.Other great tracks featured on the album are, North Country Girl which also would have made a fab single, Cinnamon Crescent, Torn and my two favourite tracks, Forever Through Traps and Lies and Cheated Myself (For Someone Like You) I love Chris´s voice and the bands backing works perfectly with it.
