There are some interesting songs and demos of what could have been and were James Bond theme songs.

Among my favourites is the demo by Bono singing Golden Eye, (the Ace Of Base song was pulled by their record company for fears of the film becoming a flop. The song was then rewritten and released as their single Juvenile)

I like the synthpop tune Beyond The Ice by Red Flags which is dark a song. Pulp´s excellent Tomorrow Never Dies would have been fantastic and the mighty Dame Shirley Bassey´s No Good About Goodbye- is everything a good Bond tune should be-

I have always loved Alice Coopers Man With A Golden Gun which can be found on his Muscle of Love album,it wasn´t used because of the risky lyrics!!

Blondie were also asked to record a theme tune but weren’t allowed to write it themselves so they said no and wrote one anyway which was included on their album The Hunter. Johnny Cash´s Thunderball is a brillant track but not as a Bond theme song-great lyrics-
