It took a while to get hold of this album, (although you can now find copies quiet easily).
It was well worth the wait,recorded live complete with it´s amusing opening intro, Phil with piano doing his best Les Dawson impression.
Blue Skies kicks off the album properly and shows what a fine voice Phil has, next Play The Game is in a similar vein to Curiosity Killed The Cat -I´m sorry this track seems to jump once-
Can´t Believe and Dianne are two of my favorite tracks which could easily have appeared on their debut album.
Beautiful View* is a departure in sound which is pretty song almost sounding medieval.
The Beadle Bumble closes side one and doesn’t sound like Afraid Of Mice at all, it´s sounds like its from a musical. Phil´s voice sounds like Keith Moon´s Uncle Ernie in the Who´s Tommy film.
Side two opens with the wonderful Faith Hope and Charity, next we have the live favorite Sugar Money.* Funny Lady reminds me of John Miles circa ´75/´76 a funky track which sounds they are using a talk box.
This Mirror* is another classic Afraid Of Mice song then we finish with a mellow track Little World.
As you can see the sleeve and label are very basic but you could buy the bands Merchandise as seen on the flyer which was inside the album
* Also recorded by Two´s A Crowd
